Commissions
A small number of commissions are undertaken alongside ongoing study and independent practice.
I consider panel icon commissions for traditional icon subjects including Christ, the Mother of God, angels, and occasionally selected British and female saints.
I undertake Orthodox wedding icons, paired icons of Christ and the Mother of God, for ceremony or as gifts.
Availability
Availability for commissioned work is highly limited and varies throughout the year.
At certain times, commissions may be paused while study commitments are prioritised.
Timescale
Creating custom handmade icons using traditional techniques of egg tempera painting and gilding on wooden board is a skilled, delicate and a labour intensive process.
For all icon commissions, a minimum of 16 weeks notice is required. A estimated delivery date will be provided on commencing your project. Please give several months notice for wedding icon commissions.
Pricing
Prices for commissioned work is individual and begins from £1200 for a wooden panel icon, depending on scale, complexity, and materials.
Pair of Orthodox wedding icons from £2500.
Prices exclude postage and packaging.
50% payment is required to commence your icon with the remaining 50% payable on completion. Terms and conditions apply.
Delivery, Postage and Shipping
Custom icons can be posted to you by insured and tracked courier worldwide. You may also arrange to collect your completed icon in person.
Prices for postage and packing are not included in the icon price.
